Job Title:Trainer/Assessor

Locations:Middlesbrough (Tees Valley coverage)

Programme:Skills

Contract:Permanent

Hours:9am – 5pm, Monday to Friday

Salary:£22,075 - £27,500

About the role:You will be responsible for delivering a wide range of training and qualifications, assisting individuals to improve specific skills and move them closer to their personal goals, and/or closer to employment.

Required criteria:

· Qualifications:Training qualification such as PTTLS, Education & Training or CAVA (or willingness to work towards one within the role.)

  • Sector experience: Customer facing, training, education or learning environments.
  • Performance driven: Able to work to various targets including performance and quality measures.
  • Travel: Applicants must be mobile throughout the region as this role may include travelling to premises across Tees Valley.
  • Communication: Excellent communicator both verbal and written.

· Skills: Strong literacy, numeracy and digital skills are essential. Personal skills include creativity, being inspirational/able to create a personal impact and being highly motivated

· Time/ diary management: Able to plan, prepare and carry out learner assessments.

  • Relationship management: Able to identify learner needs, prepare a support plan and deliver effectively.

Desirable criteria:

· A current driving licence.

  • Level 2 or above Literacy or Numeracy qualification.
  • PCGE

Training Delivery

· Effectively manage varying sized groups of learners, being able to adapt to various learning styles.

· Full responsibility of delivering innovative training solutions, based on local priorities and contractual requirements.

· Feedback on training materials, identifying new and creative ways to engage learners

Quality & Continuous Improvement

· A keen eye for detail with excellent administrative skills and a continuous improvement mindset

· Regular evaluation of your courses to ensure they are adding value to our learners and supporting them to move forwards their personal goals.

· Sharing ideas and best practice will come naturally to you as will striving for excellence and taking pride in the work you and your fellow colleagues deliver.

People Motivation

· Outstanding people skills with the ability to negotiate and motivate through action.
