As part of Education Partnership North East (EPNE), Sunderland College is undergoing significant growth in the Distance Learning provision. To help with this growth plan we are looking for suitably qualified individuals to join our friendly, forward thinking team based at our Washington Campus.

The successful candidate will be an experienced, committed and passionate individual with a strong background in Distance Learning. The successful candidate will have a case load of learners working towards qualifications at level 1, 2 and 3 supporting learners in achieving their learning goals by adapting/developing appropriate learning materials, providing online support, recording and providing timely feedback on student progress and achievement. They will provide careers information, advice and guidance relating to progression opportunities.

Ideally you will possess a degree or relevant occupational qualification in counselling skills together with occupational experience to assess up to L3 Counselling distance learning qualifications together with health and social care related distance learning qualifications. You must hold the Assessor (CAVA, TAQA, A1 or TDLB 32,33) and hold or be willing to work towards Verifier Awards (TAQA, V1 or TDLB 34).

You must have good organisational skills together with drive, enthusiasm and excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students and peers together with a flexible and positive attitude to change to support the continued growth in provision.

Due to the nature of this post you will be required to undertake an Enhanced Disclosure Check.
