EQUANS are recruiting for a Trainee Site Manager to be based in Stoke on Trent This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, company vehicle or allowance, bonus and benefits package.

Please note the salary is between £17,000 – £19,000 due to this being a Trainee position.

General Overview:

To assist the site team to manage the building project in accordance with agreed timescales, quality, and cost. To develop excellent relationships with customers and assist in managing the Supply Chain. At the same time, you will develop your own working knowledge through on site experience and further education via day release. To assist the site team to manage a contract which has variable value ranges. To understand, implement and adhere to the company SHEQ policy/strategy

What will you deliver?

  • Assist with the preparation of the Health and Safety file
  • Develop personal understanding of construction issues
  • Understand and implement the Company Quality Assurance system
  • Assist the site team to monitor orders and deliveries to ensure that all materials are available when required
  • Store all materials in accordance with manufacturers’ recommendations, to minimise loss and wastage
  • Advise Buying Department of any materials that are likely to be surplus at least one month before Contract Completion
  • Attend monthly Cost Meetings when requested and agree contribution forecast
  • Carry out duties including administration and dealing with correspondence

Who are we looking for?

  • Previous Site experience
  • Ability to competently operate MS office (Word & Excel)
  • Financial and commercial awareness
  • Current and Valid UK driving license
