Location– Farringdon (Short walking distance from Farringdon Station)

Start– May 2023

What is the role of a Trainee Recruitment Consultant?

As a Recruitment Consultant, you are the middle person between a candidate who is looking for a new opportunity, and a client who is looking to hire new talent. Your day to day responsibilities include:

  • Sourcing candidates through external job boards (e.g: LinkedIn) or extensive use of the database - making direct contact with both active and inactive candidates to update details, discuss career aspirations, determine candidate availability and conduct general candidate screening, updating all information on the database.
  • Provide career consultancyto candidates to guide them through the job searching process
  • Arranging and confirming candidate interviewsas requested by clients, ensuring that both clients and candidates are kept up to date both verbally and by email
  • Generating leads through regular candidate contact, market intelligence and research
  • Developing new client relationships by investigating which organisations are recruiting in our marketplace and providing market intelligence regarding existing target clients
  • Reference taking to help qualify candidates and open doors to new clients
  • Managing relationships with candidates and clients ensuring that all quality processes and service level requirements are met, delivering the best service

To be successful in recruitment, you needambition, confidence and resilience. Recruitment can be challenging at times, so a positive and determined mindset is essential. You will need to be:

  • Able to demonstrate examples where you have worked under pressure or in a target driven environment is preferable but not essential
  • Eager to network and build relationships

  • Able to listen, retain information and ask relevant questions
