Job Title: Trainee Parts Person

Location:Hailsham, East Sussex – Onsite only – no working from home.

Salary:£NMW, dependent upon age.

Permanent, Full Time:40 hours per week, between the hours of 8.15am-5.15pm, Monday to Friday with 1 hour unpaid lunch.

We are a specialist car parts company looking for a new team member for our busy Automotive Parts Department. We are looking for someone that is willing to learn all aspects of a Parts Department. Full training in each division will be given.

Your role will include:

· Booking orders into stock

· Counting large and small orders

· Stock checking

· Assisting with warehouse duties

· Serving at our parts counter

· Answering incoming calls from customers

· Contacting customers via outgoing phone calls and email

· Various admin roles to assist with sales department

Requirements:

· Previous parts experience is not essential, as you will receive on the job training by your colleagues and manager

· We are looking for an individual who is confident in speaking with customers face to face and by telephone where necessary

· You will be a team player who is keen to learn and who has an eye for detail

· Excellent numerical skills, you must be great with numbers and codes

· Good IT skills for using and maintaining our internal parts database and invoicing software

· Good knowledge of Excel

· Excellent attention to detail

· Must have an active interest in the motor industry and a willingness to progress.

· Willingness to undertake forklift training

· Must be able to work well as part of a team, but also under own initiative

· Must be able to work well under pressure

Education:

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
