Our client in Halifax offer a full range of supply chain solutions to anywhere in the world via road, sea or air. Due to increased demand they are currently looking for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join their team as a Trainee Freight Forwarding Clerk. You’ll gain valuable experience and transferable skills within the freight forwarding industry. We are keen to speak to people who already have some experience in the industry, and are eager to learn more.
As a Trainee Freight Forwarding Clerk, you will be focusing on the export side of the business. This will include sales and quoting, administration, and liaising with customers and carriers.
Excellent customer service and communication skills are imperative for this role. You’ll need to be organised by nature and thrive in a fast paced and dynamic atmosphere. Being computer literate, good with numbers and having excellent attention to detail skills are also great attributes for this role.

Ensuring all shipping documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner. Building strong working relationships with clients / shipping lines and agents. Dealing with post shipment enquires with overseas offices and agents.
