Job Title: Trainee Double Glazing Repair Operative

Salary: £20,000 + negotiable based on experience

Location: Burgess Hill

Duration: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm (some flexibility required)

Benefits: 23 days holiday, Pension, Uniform, Tools and Safety Wear provided.

We are excited to be working with our client in their search for a Trainee Double Glazing Repair Operative. This is a new and exciting position offering you the chance to gain knowledge and skills which are required to cover a wide range of tasks involved in the repair and maintenance of double-glazed installations.

You will be working alongside our experienced operatives where you will be shown and encouraged to be involved in both the diagnosis and rectifications of problems.

Duties And Responsibilities
  • Be physically fit, as the job requires mobility to carry and handle tools and equipment as well a degree of strength for lifting. Some ladder work is included.
  • Have practical ability
  • Be able to show initiative
  • Develop your problem-solving skills
  • Show interest in your work and the needs of the customers
  • Have good powers of observation
  • Be able to discuss issues with customers, colleagues and management
  • Be a good team member, while also developing the confidence and initiative to work independently

The Person
  • Presentable and personable
  • Motivated to learn new skills and work hard
  • A flexible approach to your work and happy to work out of hours if needs be
  • You must hold a full, current, UK Driving license with own vehicle due to location
  • Experience using tools would be advantageous
