Job ProfileTrainee CAD Technician - Required for our client out their Dunfermline office. The Trainee Cad Technician will be working for a well-known UK wide Civil Engineering Contractor within their retaining walls company. The Trainee Cad Technician will be working on a range of Retaining wall projects within the Industrial, Commercial, Residential and Public realm.The Trainee Cad Technician will be producing engineering drawings using AutoCAD/Revit and associated documents in support of various teams within the drawing office. The ideal Trainee Cad Technician will be a college leaver or have 6 months experience working within a drawing office using AutoCAD or Revit to create engineering or construction drawings.   • Produce drawings using AutoCAD and Revit and associated documents
  • Create sketches/drawings as required by engineers
  • Undertake close liaison with clients technical representatives to obtain key data in a timely and efficient means
  • Ensure completion with agreed timescale’s
  • Maintain and develop a strong customer focus
  • Ensure drawings are issued to site and clients in a timely manner
  • Ensure all work produced meets the required standard to maintain the drawing register and file
  • Regularly liaising with project managers, lead technical staff/engineers, clients.
  • Support project engineers with data input (e.g. co-ordinated setting out drawings and schedules).
Junior CAD Technician Position Requirements
  • HN within construction or Civil Engineering or a HNC in Civil Engineering or construction related discipline
  • Experience in the use of 2D AutoCAD
  • Experience in the production of 3D AutoCAD drawings advantageous
  • IT literate and an intermediate level user of Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience within the Construction or Civil Engineering Industry
  • Some knowledge of BIM processes
  • Desire to establish a career in Civil Engineering
Junior CAD Technician Position Remuneration
  • Salary £18K- £23K
  • 26 Days holiday + BH
  • 37 hours per week and overtime paid
