An Excellent opportunity has arisen within Hambleton and Richmondshire Urgent Community Response (UCR) and Hospital at home Virtual Ward Service. We are looking for skilled and outstanding therapy assistant practitioners to join our developing UCR and virtual ward service within the Community and Growing the Friarage Collaborative.

If you possess innovation, dynamism, drive and are passionate about patient focused care, this could be the opportunity you are looking for.

The therapy assistant practitioner will perform duties under the supervision of a Registered AHP in the treatment of patients using a range of specialist therapeutic treatment.

You will have substantial previous experience as an AHP Band 3 or equivalent therapy in Social Care, be able to manage a delegated caseload and have some experience of working in a community setting.

The post holder will be working under the guidance of the Specialist Allied Health professionals and will take responsibility for designated elements of the assessment, therapy intervention and the discharge for patients on the UCR and hospital at home service. You will be part of an MDT working alongside Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, nurses and Doctors and assistants.

The post holder will have the ability to work independently, carrying out assessment and interventions for a specified and designated clinical caseload identified by a qualified clinician but also be able to work as part of a team supporting the clinicians with patient interventions. You will have the ability to work under pressure, be well organised, demonstrate excellent communication skills and be able to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team. The post holder will be expected to work flexibly to support the seven day rota between the hours of 8am-8pm.

Driving and having access to transport is also an essential part of this post.

You will be expected to attend the New and Aspiring leaders programme, and the Foundation Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. After you complete this one and a half day of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.
