We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Test Technician to join our fast growing company based in Chepstow. The main function of this role is to contribute to the delivery of the TXO Systems Lab division via supporting the delivery of testing.

The key responsibilities of the Test Technician are:

  • To carry out test of telecom’s module to component level as directed by the Senior Test Technician.
  • Ensuring test functionality within Products and Optical Transceivers Product.
  • Timely filing of Test results.
  • Update the internal database with test results.
  • Communication with internal departments.
  • Practice Electrostatic discharge awareness to prevent accidental damage to equipment.
  • Follow Health and Safety rules and guidelines within the lab environment. In addition, support, when required, in the development of Health and Safety paperwork regarding repair aspect.
  • During peak period assist in the wider operation of the test lab.
  • Help with the development of new test platforms including production of documentation and test procedures.

The successful Candidate will have:

  • At least 5 x GCSE’S Grade C or above (including Mathematics). It is desirable that candidates have A Levels in a technical/analytical subject such as ICT, Mathematics or Computer Science.
  • A genuine interest in technology.
  • Positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
  • Analytical approach with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with MS Windows, Word, Excel, etc.
