Test Engineer (Electronic Design)

Chippenham

£30 per hour (£35 per hour Umbrella rate) DOE

On-going long-term contract basis

Test Engineer (Electronics Design) sought within a global manufacturer of specialised electromechanical and electronic equipment to the travel infrastructure industry.

The role will be suited to engineers from electronic manufacturing backgrounds with a keen interest in electronic based equipment development.

The role will require a good working knowledge of electronic component development and design, experience in ANY design packages will be considered, LabVIEW, CAD, Scan Works experience will be highly advantageous. Working alongside a senior Test Engineer, you will assist and contribute to diagnosing and improving electronic products. A successful candidate will have experience in PCB layouts and schematic capture, whilst also having a basic understanding of C and/or C#. You will be able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of identifying product issues and debugging products.

The role will be based within an existing and experienced team of test and development engineers, you will be working on a range of analogue and digital electronic characteristics and noise management solutions.

The Person Required
  • Passion and enthusiasm for electronics
  • Experience with ANY design packages, LabVIEW being highly advantageous
  • Experience in electronics manufacturing essential. Candidates with audio frequency or technology experience will also be thoroughly looked at.
  • Basic knowledge or understanding of C / C#
  • Electronic Test knowledge or desire to enhance this skill will also be considered
