Test Engineer- 3G Femto Cell

Capgemini Engineering is looking for Test Engineer-3G Femto Cell to join team working on cutting-edge technologies.

Key Accountabilities

• Operations and Support role for 3G and 4G Small cell (Femto) solution. Selected candidate will be part of centralized team that works on day to day operations and support of small cell solution deployed globally with different operators
• Selected candidate will act as technical contact point for assigned project, and will drive meetings with internal and external teams. He should be able to independently drive activities without any supervision
• For operations, candidate will need to plan and execute routine operation and maintenance activities such as software upgrades , parameter changes. He should be comfortable working with router, switches, linux machines
• As part of software release cycle, if required candidate will need to do testing either in local or customer lab for major software releases
• As part of support team, you will be responsible for resolving and tracking issues reported by first level. Tracking will require raising ticket with next level of support and getting it closed with defined SLA’s
• On call support will be required for critical issues. This will be done on rotational basis within team
• Candidate will also need to prepare and modify documents (solution release notes , test plans , RCA report etc.) on need basis
• Travel within country and outside country is required , but not regularly

Job Skills

• Exciting long-term opportunity in UK for Femto gateway deployment including testing/acceptance services
• Femto / Small cells experience needed:
• Experience working in 3G and 4G femto/smallcells solution, understanding both residential and enterprise deployments
• experience in spidercloud/corning product solutions will be a plus
• Hands on with deploying and configuring HNB , HeNB , HNB Gateway, HeNB gateway , routers , switches
• Experience installing and configuring Linux OS, installing applications over Linux
• Good understanding of IP networking, IPSec as you may need to troubleshoot
• Need to work with Telco operator teams (Radio, Core, IP) hence should have good knowledge of these domains to drive technical discussions
• Position needs end to end testing experience in Femto domain as you will be responsible to run acceptance tests with customer and get it approved
