Are you an experienced tester? Have you worked with Test Automation Analysts, Developers, Product Owners and Business Analysts to assure the quality of software solutions?

At Simplyhealth, we’re looking for an experienced Test Analyst to join our Andover based team and help us embark on a new strategic direction.

The role

Working in collaboration with the team as an advocate for quality and test, you’ll help to identify and implement assurance product risks, alongside;

  • Contributing to daily stand up meetings, sprint planning, sprint demos and sprint retrospectives
  • Providing accurate estimates for user stories and backlog items.
  • Translate user stories and backlog items into logical units of work, including acceptance criteria.
  • Support the construction of project test strategies/plans to assure the key risks
  • Liaise with Software Developers and Test Automation Analysts (if appropriate) to agree split of testing responsibilities.
  • Implement test management for manual tests as needed.
  • Determine how test coverage can be measured and assessed during testing where feasible.
  • Determine testability and test environment requirements
  • Translate acceptance criteria into test cases where appropriate
  • Produce well structured, efficient and reliable tests within the agreed timescales
  • Contribute to the definition and implementation of the testing process.
  • Create test scripts, monitoring test execution and ensuring results are recorded.
  • Actively participate in the test community, sharing skills and knowledge and bringing in best practice.

You’ll need proven experience of testing software applications, delivering high quality solutions on a range of medium to large scale projects. With demonstrable experience of;

  • Testing software across a wide range of different applications.
  • Experience of working in agile delivery teams.
  • Experience of working with project collaboration tools such as JIRA, Confluence and test management software such as XRay for JIRA.
  • Interested in new tools and technology and their application in a business environment.
  • Continuous delivery and continuous integration
  • Experience with UAT
  • Database/SQL knowledge
  • Experience with API testing desirable.
  • Experience with compatibility test cloud based systems such as Browserstack
  • Ability to articulate quality of services via the use of JIRA dashboards etc.

In Return

As well as a competitive basic salary you’ll receive:

  • Group annual bonus (discretionary) up to 7.5% of annual salary

  • 28 days annual leave, plus bank holidays with an option to buy or sell a further 5 days

  • A pension scheme with 6% from us, a minimum 3% from you with the option to increase or decrease when you join. If you decide to contribute 4% or above we will add a further 4% which can be allocated in different ways

  • Eligibility for our recognition award scheme – one off payments of £2,500 or £5,000
