We’re looking for a Temporary Works Advisor to join our Devonport team based in Plymouth, Devon. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Temporary Works Advisor you’ll be working within the Devonport design/engineering team supporting them in co-ordinating all temporary works on one of the major projects ongoing in the dockyard.

Your day to day will include:

  • Review of temporary works design briefs prepared by site teams
  • Issue of approved briefs to framework designers
  • Management of designs to ensure requirements are met and appropriate levels of checking are carried out
  • Ensure implementation on site follows approved and checked designs
  • Site inspections and issue of temporary works permits

What do we need from you?

This role of Temporary Works Advisor is great for you if:

  • You will be degree qualified in civil engineering or equivalent
  • You may be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body
  • You’ll have experience of overseeing a broad range of different Temporary Works schemes, preferably as a TWC or TWS
  • You’ll have experience in design and/or engineering management
  • You’ll have a working knowledge of Temporary Works management procedures
