Curo, Weston-super-Mare, are recruiting a Telephone Support Worker, to be the first point of contact for our elderly community in North Somerset.

What You’ll Be Doing

You will be office-based in Weston-super-Mare, working with people, over the telephone, on a one to one basis, providing advice and support.

You will help people 50+ re-connect with where they live and what’s important to them, helping them understand and manage their health and wellbeing, while reducing loneliness and isolation, and remain living independently.

You will support the wider team who undertake home visits to older people in the community.

More About You

The successful Telephone Support Worker will have knowledge about what is going on in a community, how to make connections so things happen and have a passion for learning and listening to people with different needs.

  • You’ll have a passion for working with older people and great people skills.
  • You will need to be IT literate, proficient at MS outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.

At the same time, you will demonstrate resilience and the desire to work in an interesting environment where no day is ever the same!

We will need to take up an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Check for this role which we will do for you when you start.
