As the Technology Innovation Programme Manager you will manage Hydrogen Technologies Key Innovation Programmes working within and across JM sectors with key stakeholders ensuring delivery of new technology platforms via first products to market. Key Innovation programmes are multi-year (5+), multi-million pound R&D investment per year (£3-5m+) programmes that will enable JM to build or retain its leadership position in core strategic markets for JM Group.

Your responsibilities:
  • Co-development of the programme objectives, strategy and overarching resource plan with the HT Portfolio manager and programme owner
  • Supports the development and ongoing validity of the Key Innovation programme business case including support financial analysis and reporting
  • Develops the programme plan with specific KPI’s and milestones in conjunction with Key stakeholders and owners of projects comprised within the Key Innovation Programme
  • Owns the overview of the programme plan, driving delivery to agreed scope and timelines. Ensures plan is effectively communicated within the organisation and organisational alignment
  • Establishes and leads proactive, transparent, and effective communications to ensure timely dissemination of information with the senior leadership team, project teams, and matrix stakeholders.
  • Builds and manages effective relationships with stakeholders and cross functional project delivery teams, collaboratively seeks inputs to build programme delivery plans and registers (RAIDO), supports effective team working, communication and programme delivery, coordinates meetings, clarifies programme requirements, role and involvement level of team members.
  • Holds project teams accountable; updating, agreeing and tracking changes with programme owner
Requirements for the role:
  • A university degree with substantial experience; likely to have obtained a relevant technical qualification in a scientific discipline, relevant professional business qualification or sufficient relevant experience developed in JM or externally
  • Proven experience of applying programme and project management methodologies, tools, techniques and terminology in complex / high risk / strategic projects. Project management experience with a Professional Project Management qualification e.g. PRINCE 2, APM or PMI
  • Understanding of / experience in delivery of end-to-end product development and deployment (research to product industrialisation and commercialisation)
  • Ability to represent the business sector professionally at a senior-level, and build effective networks with a variety of cross functional stakeholders
