Technician (Disabled Facilities Grant) - N-Able

Part of The Norse Group, N-Able specialise in providing mobility equipment and assistive technology to customers and clients across the County. Our aim to keep customers safe, happy and healthy in your own home for as long as possible.

Due to recent expansion, we currently have an opportunity for an experienced Senior Engineer to join our team in Buxton, working as part of our new joint venture partnership with High Peak Borough Council and Staffordshire Moorlands District Council.

The Role:

As a Technician you will play a crucial role building independent living for our clients. You be required to ensure the safe and correct installation and positioning of the required equipment and adaptations both within service users homes and care homes. You will further ensure the maintenance of the equipment to service users, relatives, or carers. Other duties will include:

  • Demonstrating the operation and maintenance of the equipment to service users, relatives or carers
  • Assisting other adaptation technicians in larger DFG works, and to assist with stairlift, overhead hoists and toilet installs if required
  • Liaising with Office Administrators, case workers and Occupational Therapists in regard to appointments and diary management
  • Installing equipment and adaptations for all contracts as necessary to maintain excellent customer delivery.

Our Successful Candidate:

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Experience of installing Adaptations in client / customer properties
  • Knowledge and understanding of Health & Safety during the working day
  • Experience of working within residential Homes / care environment is desirable
  • Full UK Drivers Licence to meet travel requirements for the role
