Role: Senior Technical Manager/ Sustainability Manager (Food/Vitamins)

Location: Derbyshire, 50% HYBRID OPTION

Salary: Competitive (company annual bonus/company performance related)

Hours:9:00- 17:00 Monday to Friday

Russell Taylor has an exciting new opportunity working as a Sustainability Manager on behalf of our client, one of UK’s leading vitamins/supplement manufacturers. Or client is looking for an individual with previous experience of retail technical management, in a customer facing role along with the ability to implement quality and sustainability goals within the company.

The Role
  • Meeting the technical requirements of external customers for both products made onsite and by third parties.
  • Taking the lead on technical issues and supporting the technical team when required to do so.
  • Ensuring the technical team provides an accurate and efficient technical service to both internal and external customers
  • Designing of briefs, supporting development, and driving the delivery of technical aspects of the projects and NPD to support the introduction of new products.
  • Ensuring the regulations and requirements of BRC are understood as applicable to Food supplements
  • Leading the technical department with regards to ethical sustainability, TACCP and HACCP
The Candidate
  • Previous experience dealing with retail customer technical requirements.
  • Must have a science related degree
  • Experience working to GMP is required
  • Previous experience as a technical/sustainability manager is required for the role. Having previously worked to implement sustainability goals and targets, with focus on continual improvement.
  • A good understanding of EU/UK regulations with regards to food and pharmaceutical law.
  • Being able to problem solve, finding solutions to both the needs of the customer and the business.
  • A well organised, proactive, individual with excellent communication skills at all levels
