Our client, a market leader in their field is currently recruiting for a Technical Manager who will be responsible for ensuring the implementation and maintenance of quality management and food safety systems.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Would Include But Not Limited Too
  • Manage and lead any external quality audits
  • Responsible of successful BRC audits
  • The establishment of both leading and lagging KPI’s as clear measures of success and embedded process. Knowledge, Skills and Experience
  • Ensuring the facility meets all required food safety laws, regulations, and corporate policies
  • Being accountable for HACCP & food safety training for the facility to ensure compliance and execution of required programs.
  • Maintain & understand of processes and functional interdependencies. Recognise and escalate, as needed, those issues identified as risks to, or opportunities to improve, plant performance.
  • In partnership with the team, supports the site implementation of all new products, line extensions and continuous quality improvement projects including the effective execution of line trials and execution of process capability evaluations.

Requirements

The ideal candidate:Experience in seafood, Poultry , meat or chilled preferred
  • Technical Qualification / Food Science qualification is an essential skill to degree level
  • Extensive experience gained in a food production environment in dealing with supermarket multiples, local authority bodies and third-party audits is advantageous.
  • The job holder must have an in-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and industry standards and be very familiar with Food Safety, Allergen Control, Microbiology and Quality Assurance.
  • An experienced auditor with an in-depth working knowledge of HACCP, BRC and Internal Auditing Systems. Personal Attributes
