Head of Technical Estates

We are recruiting for a Head of Technical Estates in the North West.

Summary

  • Salary £60,000 - £70,000k + car + package
As head of technical Estates you will have responsibility for leading and managing a team of technical managers which oversee the smooth running of the healthcare estate.

The Head of Technical will form part of the Senior Management team on the site and co-ordinate with other Senior Managers, deputising for the Account Director in the day-to-day operations of the Services. The role is client facing so excellent customer service skills are required along with an approach of engaging and motivating our people to deliver excellent services.

Duties
  • Lead, direct and motivate the Technical Services team
  • Responsible for the management of the service delivery which meets/exceeds the needs of internal and external customers of the contract.
  • Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with budgetary and quality constraints and in line with agreed service levels.
  • Ensure effective working relationships are enhanced with key stakeholders by regularly exceeding the standard of work delivered and coordinating all hard services activities across the sites.
  • Fully support the Account Director in all aspects of contract delivery and future growth.
  • Deliver the business strategy
  • Represent all Technical Operational matters through sound decision making.
  • Grow business reputation and longer-term business opportunities through effective client relationship management and customer service excellence and effective PR of positive work
  • Ensure financial budgets and commercial/SLA obligations are achieved/exceeded.
  • Celebrate success and drive continuous improvement with the teams
  • Develop staff and ensure all have been provided with the mandatory and best practice training required to enable them to have the capability to carry out their roles.
  • Plan for further succession planning
  • Take the day to day lead on the contract deputising for the Account Director.
Qualifications

/Experience
  • Minimum of three to five years relevant experience within a healthcare or PFI environment
  • Technical qualification to degree/HND/HNC level is preferred, however an ability to understand and learn aspects which are outside the base qualification is essential.
  • NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent managing Health and Safety qualification is required.
