I am recruiting a technical buyer on behalf of our established client who are manufacturers for the marine geo technical/surveying industry.

As all the equipment is manufactured on site, the role is really varied as you will take responsibility for purchasing on behalf of production and offshore operations including electronic items, materials and high value single purchase items.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven track record of buying across multi disciplines whilst balancing lead time, price and quality as the specific project dictates

You Will Have Responsibility For The Following
  • Procurement of goods and services
  • Determining the best routes for sourcing products and materials
  • Inventory management
  • Updating records and invoicing dates
  • Providing material quotes and lead times to assist in bidding for new work.

Skills Required.
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • Experience of working with MRP systems.
  • Strong communicator
  • Detail focused individual
  • A relevant industry qualification (CIPS)
  • Experience setting up and maintaining supplier information
