What’s involved with this role:
Temporary Technical & Administration Support – Parking Services Reference no: Durham 1003747314156073 Pay Rate: Up to £10.98 per hour PAYEThe post holder will be part of the Councils Business Services support service, which provides a range of support services to teams across the Council. The successful candidate will provide technical and administrative support to the Parking and Transport Infrastructure (P&TI) Team. Key Responsibilities:
  • Parking and bus station administrative support.
  • Placing of internal and external orders and receipt of invoices via the computerised financial management system.
  • Collation of data for Performance Indicators.
  • Creating, maintaining and updating spreadsheets for enforcement requests, permit administration and other P&TI registers.
  • Mail and correspondence logging, distribution and filing.
  • Maintenance of stores and stationery.
  • Assisting with general administration for the team.

  • 4 GCSEs graded A-C including either English Language or Literature (or equivalent qualification such as NVQ Level 2 in Administration).
Skills & Experience:
  • Minimum of 12 months recent experience in a similar role, or context and ideally within a public sector organisation.
  • Experience of working within a office environment.
  • Experience of working to tight deadlines.
  • Dealing with queries.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven administrative and organisational skills.
  • ICT Skills: Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
