What you’ll do

Working within an agile delivery team, your role as Tech Lead will involve providing technical leadership, participating in product design discussions, drive technical design, ensure best in class development processes are followed whilst ensuring maintenance of our environments is a priority.

Responsibilities Will Involve

  • Supporting our product and Software Development Managers in prioritisation, scoping, and helping to lead the delivery of product features in our exciting world of Future State Architecture.
  • You’ll be part of our development team helping to enhance scalability, performance, maintainability, configurability, and usability.
  • You’ll be responsible for helping to support, mentor, and coach other members of the team.
  • You will be involved in the entire life cycle of features, including idea creation, deployment, and longer-term updates and enhancements.
  • You’ll full autonomy to work on a wide variety of different challenges across the product and codebase.

We’d like you to have been leading Developers for at least a year.

You’ll have experience liaising with stakeholders in areas such as Product, UX, DevOps, Architecture and more.

We’re looking for you to have the ability to translate difficult business requirements into software designs your team can understand and implement.

  • You are a role model, possess a positive attitude and inspire others to do their best.
  • You will be passionate about creating a product you can be proud of.
  • You are familiar with security best practices applied to web and backend applications.
  • Comfortable challenging and raising issues at any level.
  • Able to zero-in on bugs without looking at the code, based on your experience and intuition.
  • Able to consider the broader impact of your design and coding decisions and those of others.
  • Familiar working with agile development teams on large software products.
  • Ability to lead a team both remotely and office based.

Technical Skillset

  • React Native experience.
  • Unit testing experience
  • Version control with Git
  • Knowledge of APIs (Restful APIs, OpenAPI specs.
  • Container technology experience (Docker, docker-compose.
  • Experience with one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google.
  • Database experience
  • Experience with messaging technology (RabbitMQ, ServiceBus.

Additionally, The Following Skill Areas Would Be Advantageous

  • Knowledge of EPOS systems/hospitality industry.
  • Native mobile development (iOS, Android)
  • Experience working within Agile/scrum environments.
  • Knowledge of TFS/Azure DevOps.
