As we continue to grow and develop our unique caring model we have a new position for an Office Administration position within QME Care based a specialist purpose built dementia care unit and residential setting in the Kelso, Scottish Borders.

24 hours per week, the service operates a 7 day service through rota, this will include weekends, Annual Leave Cover and Sickness Cover.

Working within our main office environment to support our caring and support teams in their daily administration tasks. This role varies from day to day and will include tasks such as telephone and email communications with relatives and health professionals. General Office tasks to support the smooth daily running of our houses while having an eye for detail include but are not limited to -

  • audio and copy type
  • write letters
  • deal with telephone and email enquiries, using an email system (e.g. Microsoft Outlook)
  • photocopy and print various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues
  • organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information
  • create and maintain filing and other office systems
  • keep diaries and arrange appointments
  • schedule and attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes
  • book meeting rooms and conference facilities
  • liaise with staff in other departments and with external contacts
  • order and maintain stationery and equipment

IT experience is essential.

A working knowledge of Microsoft Office software including Excel, Word & Outlook is essential.

A high level of professionalism and confidentiality is required for this role, as well as the ability to work under pressure in a busy office.
