We are looking for an enthusiastic, positive, and driven individual to join our team. You will manage a team of night workers who work with our clients across Chichester. You will love supporting others and helping them to progress and achieve their goals. Your positive attitude towards your work and your team will help to contribute to a great working environment. You will have a calm and personable manner and be able to handle potentially difficult situations.

Examples of Duties:
Model a kind, positive, persistent, proactive manner to secure meaningful engagement with clients to bring about sustained outcomes for them; to relieve their mental health needs, homelessness and prevent cyclical rough sleeping or entrenchment.

Work with clients, manager, and team to understand and monitor complex needs of the clients in the services. Lead the team in understanding the need to crisis manage, safety plan with the client and debrief the team post incidents. Ensure all team members put the client at the heart of support worker – strengths-based and person centred.

Quickly identify those that are at risk and in need of urgent, specialist support through liaising with service manager and team and to support the manager in engaging a multi-agency approach.

Liaise between the day and night teams to ensure consistent and effective communication and provide a handover to day staff after each shift.

Manage incidents through the on-call service, emergency services or by providing assistance. This will be part of the on-call service.

In order to be successful in this role:
Good knowledge of Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Confidentiality

Good Knowledge and active proponent of TIC and PIE. Supporting our clients and teams to work in a more compassionate and non-judgemental approach.

The ability to enable staff to motivate and inspire clients to make positive life changes.

Commitment to and good understanding of equality and diversity

The ability to forge effective working relationships within a team

Ability to produce reports and present information to a variety of audiences.

Ability to communicate with a wide range of people using excellent active listening skills to form healthy and constructive relationships.

Your working hours will be between 4pm to 12am, will include some weekends and bank holidays as well as all call duties, to ensure you can manage the night staff and have time with the day staff.

This role will be based in Chichester, with regular travel required to our services in Chichester and Arun. A clean, valid driving licence and access to a car will be essential.
