  • Team Leader*

    We are currently recruiting for a Team Leader to work within a Supported Living setting based in Eastington GL10.

    My client is a Supported Living provider which enables adults with learning disabilities to live together in a meaningful community, offering a range of accommodation styles and activities. They believe each individual matters and focus on supporting people through community life whilst ensuring everyone can be themselves. They have thriving onsite activities that include a beautiful working Garden, Craft workshops and Bakery Workshops. Each individual is able to develop their skills, creativity and working life, and have the valuable opportunity to be recognised as individuals with a creative input. They are a big part of their local and wider community, and actively support each of their residents in benefiting from the range of activities and facilities available there.

    Experience

    *As a Team Leader you will need to have:*

    5 years’ experience of working within a supported living environment with adults with learning disabilities.
    Minimum of 2 years’ experience working at a senior level.

    Qualifications

    Reasonable general education (evidence of numeracy and literacy).
    Minimum NVQ Level 3 in social care or equivalent.

    Skills And Knowledge

    Working knowledge of health and safety, risk assessment, safeguarding, person centred support and care planning, first line supervision, equalities and human rights essential.
    Good computer skills with MS Word

    Attributes

    Able to be sensitive, yet objective, about the needs of adults with learning difficulties.
    Able to recognise relevant information in verbal and non-verbal communication.
    Good social and oral communication skills
    Able to motivate and organise self and others, reliable record keeper.
    Flexible, with good problem-solving skills
    Able to work independently and lead a team.

    Other Requirements

    Driving licence.

  • Role of a Team Leader*

    Plan and organise the delivery of support and care by your team, ensuring that there are up-to-date person centred support and care plans in place that are regularly reviewed; risk assessments are undertaken, incidents appropriately recorded, and there are adequate records in place to evidence the provision of support and care in accordance with contractual and regulatory expectations.

    Ensure Clients Receive Support And Care In Accordance With Their Person Centred Support And Care Plan To Foster Their Wellbeing And Development And Fulfil Their Potential For Independence, Choice, Inclusion And Control By, For Example, Supporting Clients To
    • Encourage and support the clients to maintain clean, tidy and welcoming living environment
    • Support clients to use appropriate laundry equipment so they can be enabled to do their laundry and clothing so they have suitable and clean clothing to wear
    • Plan, shop and prepare healthy and wholesome meals alongside the clients and taking into account their choices and wishes
    • Support clients to be healthy by assisting them to arrange and attend medical appointments
    • Support and encourage clients to maintain an active and supportive social life taking into account individual choices and wishes
  • Salary:* £11.00phr (Due to increase in July)

  • Full time Based on the below 2 week rolling rota

    Mon- 09:00-17:00
    Tues- 09:00-17:00
    Weds 12:00-22:00
    Thur- 09:00-18:00
    Fri- 17:00-22:00

    Week 2
    Mon- 09:00- 17:00
    Tue- 09:00-16:00
    Wed- 09:00-17:00
    Thur- 09:00-18:00
    Sun- 09:00-17:00
