Overview:
An exciting vacancy has arisen to join the dynamic and innovative Young People’s team at The Base Kirklees in the role of Team Leader.

The post is for a 6 month period to cover maternity leave with the possibility to extend beyond the 6 months.

Responsibilities:
The post holder will be responsible for supervising and leading a dedicated and passionate team of staff. Responsibilities include providing support to staff in relation to case management and engagement, providing quality and effective supervision, ensuring achievement against key performance indicators, and taking on the role of Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) for the service.

The post holder will therefore require experience of working with children and young people and an understanding of the complex issues and concerns that they face. The poster holder will have previous experience of supervising staff and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of the need to deliver excellent support to children and young people accessing the service. You will also have experience in managing safeguarding concerns and an ability to lead and motivate a team.

We are looking for a creative and dynamic individual who enjoys working within a busy team. The ability to work to a high degree of accuracy and meet deadlines amongst competing priorities is vital in this position.
