Job Summary

We are looking for an excellent candidate to provide an effective and efficient administrative support service to meet the needs of the clinicians and the management team.

You will be highly motivated with excellent communication skills and have an ability to work under pressure. Knowledge of working within a health environment would be desirable. IT skills in Microsoft Office packages are required and knowledge of the SystmOne would be an advantage.

You will also have a willingness to learn and develop within the role and have the ability to maintain confidential service user information with discretion.

Main duties of the job

The key area of work for this role will be to provide support to the Team Managers and colleagues. The successful candidate will contribute to the continuing development of administrative support.

Provide general administrative support within the team(s) including answering telephone calls, taking messages, setting up meetings, filing, archiving, scanning, maintaining stationery supplies, and photocopying as required. Acknowledge and respond to queries via telephone, email and in person providing a high standard of customer care, ensuring professionalism and responding in a timely manner.

Qualifications

Person Specification Qualifications Desirable

  • Educated to GCSE level in Mathematics and English to Grade C and above
  • NVQ 3 in administration or relevant equivalent experience or qualification Typing Level 2 or Equivalent

Experience Desirable

  • Experience of Working in a customer facing environment (face to face and via the telephone)
  • Experience of working as a part of a team
  • Setting up and running effective office systems
  • Experience of working in a healthcare environment
