Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to provide a high level of service within a multidisciplinary team? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of our patients struggling with an eating disorder? Here at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust, we are looking for someone like you to join our Community Eating Disorder Psychiatry Service.

As a Result, You Will Have The Flexibility To Select a Suitable Base In One Of The Following Areas

This is a county-wide post which will see you cover a population of approximately 168,000 people.
  • Bridgwater;
  • Taunton;
  • Minehead;
  • Yeovil; or
  • The Mendip Area
This post is full time (10 PAs) and you will be supported with working remotely for the majority of the week, although you will be expected to attend urgent clinical commitments should they arise. A full GMC registration is required for this post, although we may possibly consider the GMC sponsorship route as we are registered as a GMC sponsorship organisation for Psychiatry.

This is a new post resulting from the conversion of a part-time Consultant post into a county-wide Specialty Doctor post, and therefore represents a fantastic opportunity for you to contribute to a team that has rapidly developed over the last two years.

You would be expected to offer approximately three hours of patient appointments per working day. For a full-time post holder, this would equate to 15 appointments per week including new assessments, medication reviews and reviews of physical/psychological risk.
