Job Title: Teaching & Learning Assistants
Grade/Salary: Grade B SCP 1 - 3 (£17,842 - £18,562) and Grade C SCP 3 - 5 (£18,562 - £19,312) pro rata
Contract Terms: Various hours - see below, term time only
Contract Type: Temporary for as long as the pupil is in school

We are looking to appoint five Teaching and Learning Assistants to support pupils with Education Health Care Plans.

Post 1 - 25 hours per week L2 and 2 hours 30 mins L1.
Post 2 - 25 hours per week L2 and 2 hours 30 mins L1.
Post 3 – 20 hours per week L2.
Post 4 – 27 hours 30 mins per week L2 and 2 hours 30 mins L1.
Post 5 – 20 hours per week L2.

We are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants to support children with Autism and or Speech and Language delay. Applicants must have extensive experience working with children who have a diagnosis of ASC and have a good working knowledge of a range of strategies suitable for children with ASC and no verbal communication.
We are also looking for Teaching assistants to work with children who have Delayed Language Disorder. Experience delivering speech and Language packs and small group interventions is required. A working knowledge of the primary curriculum is preferable.

We are seeking candidates with excellent punctuality, attendance, organisational skills, communication skills and excellent spoken language. St Thomas’s is a large two form entry primary school and the ability to work collaboratively in a team is essential.
