We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic educational team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teachers and creating a positive learning environment for students. Responsibilities

  • Assist the teacher in implementing lesson plans and instructional activities.
  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with varying academic needs.
  • Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Support classroom management and discipline efforts.
  • Assist in preparing instructional materials and resources.
  • Collaborate with teachers to assess student progress and communicate with parents when necessary.
  • Provide support during assessments and exams.
  • Supervise students during non-instructional periods, such as lunch and recess.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions as required.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working with children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Basic knowledge of educational principles and practices.
  • Proficient in the use of basic office software and educational technology.
  • First aid and CPR certification is an advantage.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
