Job Title: Teaching AssistantLocation: Newport, UKJob Type: Full-timePay: £11.83 per hourJob DescriptionWe are currently seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 1 pupil in a mainstream setting who requires additional support in the classroom and around the school. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that the pupil receives the support they need to thrive academically and emotionally. You will be responsible for working closely with the pupil, providing 1:1 support, and helping them to stay on task throughout the day. Additionally, you will provide support to small groups of pupils to help with their English and Maths.Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 support to a Year 1 pupil who requires additional support in the classroom and around the school
  • Help the pupil stay on task and complete their academic work
  • Be a positive role model and encourage appropriate behaviour in the classroom and on the play yard
  • Provide support to small groups of pupils to help with their English and Maths
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other members of staff to ensure the pupil receives the support they need
