CHARTERHOUSE

Charterhouse is seeking an inspirational teacher to join our thriving Mathematics department. The successful applicant will make a significant contribution to delivering our expanded IGCSE programme.

As well as welcoming an excellent practitioner to teach pupils across a full range of abilities, the post is also suitable for those who desire to teach Mathematics in the Sixth Form.

This role is suitable for either recent graduates who have the skills to deliver excellent classroom teaching or experienced practitioners who are looking to develop their careers; all applicants are expected to contribute to the wider life of the school.

As well as offering the chance to join a team focussed on ensuring our pupils enjoy a mathematical education that equips them for success in the rest of their lives, the overall package includes the option of accommodation with wages and benefits significantly beyond those offered in most schools and teacher training programmes.

Charterhouse is a successful and ambitious school in an inspiringly beautiful setting. Founded in 1611, it moved to its present magnificent 250 acre site near Godalming in 1872. The School has over 800 pupils aged between 13 and 18, all of whom, except for about 40 day pupils, are boarders.

Applications should be made in accordance with the School’s application and safer recruitment procedures, via the School’s website, selecting the relevant vacancy.

This will take you to our online recruitment system and give you the opportunity to register and complete an application form. You will also have the opportunity to upload your latest CV.

In case of any queries, please email: hr@charterhouse.org.uk

The closing date for applications is 12 noon on Tuesday 18 April 2023.

Early applications are encouraged and will be considered immediately upon receipt. An appointment may therefore be made before the deadline above.

The post-holder will be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children with whom he/she comes into contact. They must ensure compliance with the School’s Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy Statement at all times. This appointment will be subject to checks with the Disclosure and Barring Service and with past employers.
