UTC Derby Pride Park opened in December 2019 and provides a new and dynamic education. It opened within The Sheffield UTC Academy Trust, which has a wealth of experience with two UTCs in Sheffield both graded Ofsted Good. We are looking to recruit a suitably qualified teacher who can support the delivery of Product Design and or Systems and Control, the ability to contribute to the Engineering specialism would be an advantage. You will work alongside the staff team to further develop a centre of excellence focusing on Engineering & Manufacturing along with Health & Life Sciences. Under the direction of the Curriculum Director you will support the delivery of a range of qualifications. These include primarily GCSE Product Design and Cambridge L2 National Certificates in Engineering Design and Systems and Control. Additional qualifications offered within the faculty include; Cambridge National Certificates in Engineering Manufacturing, and the BTEC Level 3 in Engineering Diploma at Post-16. The ability or willingness to upskill to support the delivery of these additional qualifications is an advantage.


You will be a highly skilled practitioner who understands the challenges of educating 13-19 year olds in an employer-led technology-rich environment. Effective partnership working is absolutely critical to the UTC’s success. We also welcome applications from newly qualified teachers who have the skills and attributes to develop their expertise within our unique environment.
