The Code of Practice on the English language requirement for public sector workers, Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 requires that Councils ensure that all candidates applying for customer facing posts must be assessed in order to establish their fluency in English.

The criteria under special knowledge and experience on the job profile which is shown in this advert outlines what level of fluency you will be expected to demonstrate. Therefore, it is essential that you provide examples in your application.

The Medical Needs and Hospital Education Service provides education for all children of compulsory school age residing in the Bradford Local Authority area who cannot attend full time school due to health and medical needs. Our provision is based at Owlet Road in Shipley, Airedale General Hospital and Bradford Royal Infirmary. We also provide an outreach service teaching children in the home and other suitable venues as well as online learning.
We have a vacancy within the Key Stage 3 team, and are looking for a teacher to work as part of the team providing high quality teaching and learning appropriate to that phase/and or key stage to children and young people. A high level of knowledge, expertise and understanding of the curriculum across KS3 is required. The majority of the teaching will take place at Owlet Road and across the Bradford Local Authority in homes and other suitable venues.
