As part of PwC’s Workforce of the Future Team, Student Recruitment is responsible for implementing and delivering the firm’s student recruitment strategy to identify, attract, select and engage the best possible talent from UK Universities and Schools.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our award winning function as a Senior Associate specifically working on National Schools recruitment initiatives, as part of the Talent Engagement Team.

Continuing to build our profile within schools and colleges, this role will work with students, teachers and parents/carers and will be responsible for attracting and recruiting students onto a range of schools programmes, including our Virtual Insight Week, Flying Start degrees and School and College Leaver programmes. We run a range of events throughout the year to promote our key programmes, as well as developing employability skills with students from Year 10 to Year 13 to help prepare them for the world of work.

This role will work closely and alongside another Talent Engagement Senior Associate and will provide support to the Talent Engagement Manager (and the wider team) to ensure the smooth running of our school/college activities and programmes. This is a varied role that will enable you to get involved in a variety of aspects of the programmes and initiatives.

Schools:

  • The individual will be responsible for gathering data on our programmes and helping to measure impact and outcomes.

  • Reviewing programme logistics to improve the experience for candidates and the teams delivering the programmes and ensuring excellent candidate experience is at the forefront.

  • Coordinating events and activity for regional and national events, including specific marketing/attraction responsibility for the Flying Start Accounting, Technology and Business Management degree programmes.

  • The individual will be a key point of contact for the schools national team, ensuring actions are being completed and information is accurate and up to date.

  • Working closely with the other Talent Engagement Senior Associate to operationally manage our work experience programmes and events.

  • Work closely with the Inclusion, Community and Wellbeing (ICW) Team.

  • Managing the logistics of external relationships with suppliers and event organisers.

  • The individual will also be responsible for designing content and delivering on our initiatives, e.g. Virtual Insight Week programme, Virtual Classroom and Back to Schools.

  • Monthly reports for the team to share with key stakeholders.

  • Sponsorship and invoice agreements processing.

  • The key point of contact for safeguarding issues/queries.

  • Responsible for arranging team meetings, the schools shared area and toolkit.

Other responsibilities to include but not limited to:

  • Provide timely management information to the Talent Engagement Team and line of service stakeholders on pipeline of candidates, upcoming events and resourcing.

  • Support on the delivery of all school leaver programmes and provide ROI analysis to drive future strategy.

  • Support on delivery of elements of the recruitment process, such as assessment day hosting, training, interview feedback etc.

  • Partner with the HC Customer Services team to oversee relevant aspects of the selection process (such as pre-selection of applications, staffing and scheduling university/selection events and onboarding of candidates) where relevant to the school programmes.

  • Participate in ad-hoc projects within the wider Student Recruitment Team.

Skills needed for the role:

  • Ideally with some experience of school leaver recruitment/working with the schools market.

  • Able to manage own workload and prioritise a number of concurrent activities, including efficient management of the recruitment process.

  • Excellent communication skills, including public speaking experience.

  • Experience of pulling together and dealing with reporting and management information.

  • Creative approach to attracting candidates.

  • Experience of managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.

  • Possess the necessary skills to provide timely expert advice and support to key stakeholders.

  • Proactive, can do attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

  • Team player – keen to share knowledge and relevant information with team and internal clients.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently but recognising when appropriate to seek advice or escalate concerns.

  • Strong IT skills - Google (sheets, slides, docs, forms) or MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
