Job Title: Talent Acquisition Coordinator - Early Careers & Marketing

Location: Solihull & Home Based

Salary: up to £26,000 per annum depending on experience plus benefits

6 Month Fixed Term Contract

Here at the Serco recruitment team we’re responsible for hiring people that deliver essential public services in defence, transport, justice, immigration, healthcare and citizen services. As part of that we have a strong commitment to apprenticeships and training - and we hire or retrain over 400 people every year within apprentice and graduate schemes.

As our new Talent Acquisition Coordinator you’ll play a vital role in this as you work closely with our Early Careers Manager and Employer Branding & Marketing Manager to assist with the end-to-end recruitment process for these programmes. Day-to-day this will start with supporting the Recruitment Marketing Manager in generating interest in Serco through open days, social media, events, online media and filming.

Then once the candidates are in the system, you’ll work closely with our Early Careers Manager to process those applications, which will include arranging interviews, assessment centres, processing documentation, and general administration. You’ll also have an opportunity to support on other recruitment marketing and branding initiatives and be involved in the ongoing management of the graduates.

Your work will pave the way for many more apprentices and graduates to join our business.

About You

To be successful in this role you need to be organised, able to plan and prioritize, and be a real people person. So as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills you’ll be someone who is naturally organized and comfortable dealing with a variety of tasks. You’ll be speaking with candidates and with other members of the team on a daily basis, so you’ll need confidence and professionalism even when under pressure.

As you’ll be dealing with recruitment processes and systems, you’ll need a background in recruitment and experience of recruitment technologies. You’ll also have a strong interest in media and marketing - you’ll know your way around job boards and social media and can bring your own ideas to the table.

Lastly and most importantly, you’ll be a person who is a natural problem solver and are comfortable working under your own initiative.

What else do you need to know?
  • It is essential that you are able to travel to the Serco Office in Homer Road, Solihull. In addition, there will be UK travel to support assessments, events and open days as required.
  • You will be required to undergo security checks, which includes a check of criminal records. You will also be required obtain SC security clearance.
