The Purchasing Department has a full time, 37.5 hours per week, Systems Administrator position, for an individual interested in joining a busy team.

As part of the West Suffolk Hospital NHS Trust’s purchasing team your role will be to support the management of the Trust e-procurement systems on a daily basis within the department and across the Trust. This will involve working with all departments and localities across the Trust, to ensure training and the daily smooth running or the e-procurement system.

Your role includes:

  • To administrate the Trust e-procurement system in an effective and efficient manner.

  • To administrate the Trust e-catalogue system in an effective and efficient manner.

  • To administrate the NHS Supply Chain website.

    The successful candidate will need to be:

  • GCSE (or equivalent) qualifications to demonstrate a good standard of general education.
  • NVQ level 3 or equivalent standard
  • Excellent customer services skills
  • Proven ability with Microsoft Office programmes including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Ability to work alone, unsupervised, whilst remaining able to prioritise conflicting demands in a sometimes pressurised environment

  • Excellent IT and keyboard skills with a high level of attention to detail
