What are we looking for?

Due to a huge period of growth within BSI, we are excited to be looking for a System Admin / Configuration Developer to join a very driven and dynamic team.

As part of your role you will design, code and amend moderately complex programs, scripts and program modifications.

You will also be tasked with building, testing and maintaining scalable enterprise web applications with a combination of C#, .NET Core and Node.js running in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • As a System Admin you will need to work effectively in a cross-functional team and interact regularly with IT colleagues and business stakeholders.
  • You will build, verify and test moderately workflow configurations & update programs / scripts;
  • We also need you to support the QA and UAT testing, correcting errors and conducting re-tests as appropriate.
  • It is important that you follow and champion best practices in technology, applying agreed standards and tools as required. This is to achieve a well-engineered result while keeping focus on business outcomes.
  • Our Developers also plan, estimate and prioritise work within an Agile environment.

Skills/Experience required

Essential skills

  • Proven experience or exposure as a Systems Administrator/Developer.
  • Familiar with Azure cloud hosting
  • You need to also be proficient in effectively connecting to other backend systems via API calls.
  • We also need you to be proficient in Application Development Tools, Development Approaches and Application Development Methods, Techniques and Standards.

Desirable skills

  • Medium level of proficiency in at least one of the following:
    • C#,
    • .NET
    • Javascript
  • Familiar with Content Management Systems
  • Experience of Workflow Configuration & Configuration Management tools
  • Experience of working with stakeholders to understand the requirements and creating the technical designs using various O365 tools.
  • Experience in a rapidly changing, regulatory environment.
