The role supports the Business by ensuring that CT’s sustainability (and innovation) activities are well organised, tracked in accordance with Project Management guidelines and that key stakeholders are engaged with the relevant parts of the programme. The role coordinates activities from sustainability through to innovation, ensuring product and service development activities incorporate sustainability and are tracked and measured.

This role is an integrated member of the CT sustainability and innovation teams and is offered as either a part-time role (focussed in sustainability) or full-time role across both sustainability and innovation.

Catalyst Technologies (CT) is a market leader in the syngas value chain. It develops and supplies high-value, specialty process technology and catalysts for chemicals and fuels processing to enable our customers to operate efficiently, profitably and sustainably. With CT at the forefront of the transition to sustainable chemicals and fuels, the transition to net zero is creating exciting new opportunities in this sector.

Your responsibilities:
  • Sets out the required resources, clarifies role and involvement level of team members, and acquires approval ensuring that the project plans, budgets and required resources are approved.
  • Defines scope, outputs and activities for the programme/project and ensures execution.
  • Manages changes to scope and timings following appropriate governance procedures to ensure project delivery.
  • Identifies and analyses business needs, stakeholders and linkages to the wider CT and defines project scope and objectives so that they are clear, attainable, and approved.
  • Builds, maintains, and utilises a network of internal and external stakeholders ensuring that they contribute to the project success.
  • Is able to collect and use feedback from relevant stakeholders to measure and ensure effective stakeholder management.
  • Coordinates, monitors, and drives project activities, managing project risks, issues, changes and resources and takes corrective actions when necessary to ensure timely delivery of project milestones.

Requirements for the role:
  • A university degree with a number of years’ relevant experience is desirable; or may have obtained a relevant business/technical professional qualification; or have relevant experience developed in JM or externally
  • Has experience of applying project management methodology tools, techniques, and terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and is able to ensure a common understanding by clearly setting expectations in accordance with the project plan.
  • Has a good understanding of the chemical and energy industry and demonstrable experience and/or enthusiasm for sustainability and innovation
