About The Role

You’ll join our friendly team, enabling people with learning disabilities to increase their independence; there’s lots of variety. You will support four individuals between the ages of 60 and 75 with varying levels of ability, and care and support needs. These range from full physical support of all aspects of personal care, eating and drinking, some moving and handling support and accessing the community, to more relaxed, verbal prompting and reassurance based support. All have a mixture of shared and individual support hours, having their own interests and activities they like to take part in. About You

If you’re new to social care, we will support you gain the nationally recognised Care Certificate. If you have experience as a care assistant or care worker in a care home, you’ll discover we provide plenty of on-going training, support to achieve relevant qualifications and career progression. You’ll need good communication skills and a positive, patient approach. Respectful of people’s differences, you can build professional relationships and have a flexible approach. You can work 24/7 shifts including weekends and evenings / waking nights. A full, manual driving licence is essential for this role.

All support workers work flexible shifts to provide a 24/7 service to the people we support.

The salary for this role is £18,576 - £19,163 pa pro rata (£9.50 - £9.80 per hour), dependent on qualifications & experience. 

You have the option of working additional hours or sleep-ins in a range of services - paid at £50-£70 extra per sleep-in.
