Support Workers / Lifestyle Co-ordinators - About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, caring, supportive, flexible and team-playing individual to join our Oaklea support team.
The successful candidate will provide care and support for two young men within the home they share in the Morpeth area. Both men have very happy and fulfilled lives and these roles will enable continuation of this.
Within these exciting roles, you must be able to provide support that positively affects the health, wellbeing and social needs of the two men.
Contribute to and implement support plans determined by the individual support needs, support the fulfilment of goals and aspirations, be accountable for the delivery of the content of all support and its administration including, personal care, tenancy support, health needs, housing management, personal development, emotional issues and social inclusion.
Supporting someone with their daily life is not a 9-5 job. You will need to be able to work across a range of different days and shift patterns including waking night support. We realise that your quality time is important too, so your rota is prepared well in advance - Got a request, something special going on? Your manager will certainly try to help you meet it.
Support Workers / Lifestyle Co-ordinators - What We Need from You:
You must have excellent time management, a sense of humour and empathy. Experience in using technology e.g. smartphone, tablet, laptop is desirable.
You do not need to have experience but it is essential that you share our values. As long as you have a positive attitude and want to improve the lives of those with a learning disability, we will support you with progression opportunities throughout your career with us.
Access to a Car & Clean Driving Licence is essential for this role.
An Enhanced DBS will be required for each successful candidate (Paid for by Oaklea, T&Cs apply)
A Clean Driving Licence is essential for this role.
