We have an opportunity for a Support Worker to join our passionate and motivated Day Respite Team in Trowbridge. - Social Care

LIVE ∙ WORK ∙ SUPPORT

Respite: Our Respite Services provide crucial support for adults with learning disabilities, and support customers with a wide range of varying support needs. As part of our Respite Service, we provide 24-hour care to our customers throughout the year and flexible working shift patterns are available.

Day service: Day Service’s work alongside customers to identify and achieve outcomes. Individuals are supported to participate in a wide range of activities based either in the service or in their local community, we provide support to our customers 5 days a week.

About The Role

As a Care Support Worker, you will perform your duties in a person-centred manner, promoting well-being, choices, dignity, and independence. You will support customers with personal care needs, social daily living skills and leisure or work activities.

We will provide regular training opportunities to support you in this role and you will be supported to undertake a 26-week probationary period with regular meetings to monitor progress.

Following a three-month induction period, you will be expected to lead shifts.

About You

You must have a good standard of education and display a willingness to undertake Qualifications that include, QCF (formerly NVQ2) in care or have equivalent skills and experience.

Basic IT skills are also essential as you will be expected to access training online and write reports.

Driving is essential for this role; Midas training will be provided for driving a minibus.

You should also be willing to undertake mandatory training relevant to the role.
