Do you have an interest in supporting people with Mental Health conditions to help them lead a more independent life? Are you enthusiastic, resilient, and driven to enrich and make a difference in the lives of these people?

Supporting people with mental health conditions can include those with learning disabilities, personality disorders, forensic mental health, and serious mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety. You will work alongside a fully trained team and be under the guidance of a qualified nurse so you are fully supported at all times. The ideal mental health support worker will have a real passion for care and the ability to deliver a high level of therapeutic treatment and rehabilitation to each patient.

The patients within your care can display high levels of challenging behaviours, that some people may find distressing. Due to this, all staff members are required to have valid restraint training such as MAPA / TMVA / PMVA.

If you do not have the required training it is mandatory that you attend our specialist 3 day PMVA training course. This course usually costs £250 or more. We are able to offer this to you at a highly discounted price of £75! (We pay the remainder).

We are actively seeking flexible and committed mental health support workers to work within a challenging hospital setting in West Sussex. Experience is preferred but not mandatory as full training can be provided.
