Role: Support Worker, Bournemouth
Hours: Part-time 15hrs, over 7 days between hours of 8am to 11pm, some weekend work is needed.
Pay: £10.26 per hour (£20,000 full-time equivalent)

We have 14 units of accommodation providing integrated housing, training, education, employment, advice and support services for vulnerable young people aged 16 to 18.

We are looking for those who share our vision and purpose, to join our expanding Accommodation based services team in Bournemouth.

Could this be you?

Your focus will be to help young people and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children with the challenges they face, so that they are prepared for their future and can move on with a greater level of independence.

Support is a broad term. This could include; helping someone move and settle into their new home, safety planning to reduce harm, helping someone secure their desired job or secure the place on the training course they have aspired too, support with independent living skills like shopping, budgeting, and cooking.

Your support will be trauma-informed. You will understand people’s backgrounds and focus on their strengths. You will learn about Psychologically Informed Environments and ground your support in these principles.

There will be tailored, specific training that will help you advance through a training pathway and progress during your career at CCP. We promote Health, Wellbeing, Diversity, and inclusion in all our services and our staff, you will help us to achieve this.

You will work in collaboration championing Consultation and Engagement. Working in partnership with our residents, their families, external agencies including; Local Authority housing and homelessness teams, Health Services, Employment/Training services, Childrens and Families services.

Our close-knit teams of Support Workers, Senior Support Workers and Project Managers deliver their support over a rota pattern that includes some evenings and weekends. We are a flexible organisation where opportunities are embraced. We aim to accommodate people’s preferences for work locations and shift patterns where possible, but in line with service needs.

Experience in the Health and Social Care sector and with people is necessary for this role. Leadership experience is required, although further induction & training will be given.
