We are hoping to recruit a member of staff to join our Facilities Team at Forston Clinic

The role is predominantly catering based with additional duties of cleaning and or Portering on a weekly basis

This multiskilled role is predominately working in a friendly hospital kitchen helping lead the catering service at Forston Clinic - providing meals to the patients, visitors and staff provision within our dining room.

This post is 29 hours per week over a two week pattern, the proposed rota is as follows;

Week 1 work days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday 10:30-18:30

Week 2 work days are Sunday 10:30- 18:30, Tuesday 07:30-15:00 and Thursday and Friday 10:30-18:30

There may be a need to change this pattern to work flexibly within the team to cover the needs of the service. Additional hours are usually available to cover annual leave and sickness absence.

Working every other weekend attracts additional enhanced levels of pay and you will receive a generous annual leave allowance

Catering– we are looking for an experienced cook to support our catering service within our main hospital kitchen, the role will be a planned pattern of shifts over a two week period, working alternate weekends

Portering– weekly duties supporting the delivery of items throughout the site, collecting samples and supporting in receiving and unloading deliveries such as stores and laundry. A full UK driving license is essential for this role as you will be required to use the hospital vehicle on occasions.

Porters are involved in waste collection and placement in the external bins and generally helping the site to run smoothly

Cleaning– duties across the site, working to NHS cleaning standards – cleaning office spaces and ward based areas as the cleaning rota requires.

For all duties, full training, support and uniform will be provided, shadowing current experienced staff to enable the successful candidate to become confident in their role
