We are currently looking to expand our availability of supply teachers of all subject areas in the Shrewsbury area due to an increased demand from a local secondary school.This is a popular, inclusive community school with a good reputation in the local area of South Shrewsbury and Bayston Hill with around 1300 students on roll. Offering a broad curriculum and a strong pastoral team within the school they boast an excellent learning environment for students, with a very high percentage of them staying on into education post 16. They are a firm favourite with supply staff with excellent support for the staff that go in there. The system that the school uses is set up by an ex-supply teacher who knows the difficulties that can be faced at times as cover and measures have been put in place to minimise them.Based in South Shrewsbury the school is easily commutable from: Oswestry, Telford, Welshpool, Bridgnorth and of course Shrewsbury!About you:* Have a passion for working with young people.* Ideally hold QTS although if you have experience working with young people and have a degree, we have roles that we can offer you within the school.* Hold a current DBS on the update Service or we can provide this for you.* At least Level 1 safeguarding trained - if you don’t have this don’t worry we will train you free of charge.* But most of all we want you to be willing to get stuck in and involved with the students - they need you most when their Teachers are absent!If this sounds like you or something that you would be interested in, then please do get in touch by applying for this advert today!
