Alan Keef Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic and imaginative Supply Chain Manager to join their management team. This is a crucial role for the business in which you will be involved at all stages of our projects from taking our design drawings through to project completion and despatch. We are fortunate that, despite the current worldwide situation, we have a full order book and many positive enquiries.

Each of our projects is unique and so the individual we’re looking for must be able to manage several concurrent and differing projects to ensure each project leaves on time, on budget and to the high standard we have built our reputation on.

As a small, family owned and run business, every member of our team is crucial to our success and the Supply Chain Manager role is pivotal. Your contribution will matter to the business and to your colleagues. You will find yourself ordering a part on a long lead-time one minute then heading down to the workshop to help polish a locomotive, so it is ready for despatch the next.

Your role includes:

- Being responsible for overseeing activities related to Alan Keef Limited’s products and services including placing orders, storing, organising services, logistics for all our customer orders, whilst also improving productivity and efficiency, reducing costs and securing high quality materials for the Company.

- Liaison with the management team, including designers, to understand each project and identify and manage its timeline, scheduling and purchasing requirements and then to oversee the management of these requirements daily.

- Maintain the practical and effective Company purchasing and subcontractor procedures and striving for best working practice to enable the above and ensure we meet our customers’ requirements.

Your experience will:
