As the Supply Chain Manager you will be the prime interface between the commodity teams and the customer facing organisation.

You will manage a team responsible for all day-to-day procurement activity for the assigned products in accordance with the respective commodity strategies, from supplier selection and RFQ’s through to placing Purchase Orders and receipt of product. You will be responsible for management of buyer resource to facilitate RFQ’s and provide follow-on data management in support of all assigned sourcing and customer implementation activities.

In the role of Supply Chain Manager, you will apply multi-commodity expertise, combined with customer and business specific strategies to identify, progress and implement new vendors. You will be responsible for management of non-strategic suppliers to drive improvements in delivery, cost, quality, responsiveness and overall relationship.

You will be owner of Cost of Sales proposals to ensure best total cost sourcing scenarios are presented, reflective of external customer requirements, supply chain solution design and in alignment with strategic commodity strategies.

About you

Your responsibilities will include coordinating of procurement and special procurement projects across sites, projects, and commodity teams to ensure customer requirements are understood and meet.

Additionally, you will be responsible for delivering to standardized KPIs and expectations to meet stringent customer and industry demands. To understand and coordinate supplier input to the company, ensuring that leverage is applied to achieve savings, quality, and delivery targets, and maximize competitive business advantage through the life of relationship.

You will have a chance to be a point of accountability for sourcing performance in relation to operational procurement and special projects, and team leadership.

What will you also need?

  • Solid previous Procurement experience with team management
  • Project Management preferably within manufacturing
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Analytical skills and intermediate to advanced word and excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable)
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently, and ethically with internal customers suppliers, or business partners
  • Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth research, if required
