We are seeking a Ouality Engineer for our location in Huddersfield - 6 months fixed-term.

Joining one of our teams is a great opportunity to start your career in aerospace and defense supply chain industry.

About you

Joining us, you will be responsible for performing detailed inspection of parts, using engineering specifications and measurement equipment like gauges, CMM, non-contact measurement system etc.

In addition, you will have an opportunity to communicate with suppliers to help resolve technical problems. Occasionally you will conduct inspections of materials.

Your duties will also include verification of paperwork in line with Customer and Industry requirements. Moreover, you will be accountable for checking product conformity against engineering drawing requirements.

You will ensure that products are released into the business and customer and company requirements are satisfied.

You will ensure that customer requirements are understood and translated into robust processes which comply with legal and quality approval requirements. This will be achieved by collaborating with all employees to increase the company’s efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability.

What will you also need?

We are looking forward to discussing the opportunity of joining us if you have:

• Some experience in similar role - aerospace, automotive, rail, marine industries preferably
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Some knowledge of ERP systems
• Background with utilizing measuring equipment, non-contact included
• As a plus, some experience with CMM
